Principles and Values

As part of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) RICLAS has the same guiding set of principles and values. RICLAS puts these core beliefs into practice through our own vision statement:

It is the vision of Rhode Island Community Living and Supports to weave a new community of relationships where each person contributes their best towards the goal of mutual acceptance and full participation.

Presence and participation in a person's community is essential for personal growth and development. The individual can engage in both the local community as well as the broader community in a variety of ways. RICLAS strives to achieve this through activities that encourage:
